Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD My First VW Polo

Hey guys first of all Id like to say I have ben reading this forum for a while and recently joined. My car however is not a turbo so please forgive me I just wanted to be a member of a forum that actually knows stuff about VW and respects it members.

I have purchased as of today a 2007 POLO MATCH 1.6 petrol with the 6 speed transmission.. it is actually my wires car. I sold my baby a VS HSV Clubsport for it because I made the promise that if my wife got her license I would sell the toy and buy her a sensible car (never underestimate the determination of a woman when there is a nice small car on the line.)

pretty much my goals for the girl is to lower it a smidgen to get it down out of the clouds. put a nice set of 17s on (I'm thinking white KOYA CR_TEKs 17x8 but I don't know if ill be able to get them to fit.

Just keeping it simple for now as it is the second car but just want it to stand out a little bit in the crowd.

Thanks guys and sorry bout the lack of snail

I also made my wife a promise. In late 2009 she was in ICU and I promised her a small car of her own. So today we have had the 2008 Polo GTi since 2010. I did end up selling my 2006 WRX which I had poured so much into...

Beware they can be fickle..... love one day hate it the next!

      Welcome aboard, cheers Al
