Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I own a mk6 jetta and have been recently googling to find wheels mods etc. Kept seeing this webpage come up in searches so I decided to join. At the moment i am looking for some wheels but am unsure on what size would legally fit. any and all help would be appreciated

    Welcome to VWW.

Plenty of wheel sizes, prices and options to choose from, depending on what look you are after, ride comfort and budget.

If you want to smarten the look and make it sporty without going over the top I'd recommend sticking to the 17-18 inch size and not straying far from OEM measurements - say 18 x 7.5 to 18 x 8, with ET50 or there abouts. Once you go beyond that you may find yourself outside the guards or with a less then compliant ride. Lots of threads to look at on here and help and opinions available - good luck!
