Looking to buy a Golf GTI

Hi all, i am new here so here is my first post.

I have recently got my P's so Dad gave me his 03 Camry Altise... Not an exciting car but a car none the less...

I am now looking to upgrade and the Golf GTI is the frontrunner... will be spending about 20k hopefully less... so will be getting a used mark V.

Not sure if P Plate approved? Well I don't think it is in VIC. Maybe check if there is any power to weight ratio limits in WA.
