Hi All,
I thought it was time I signed up after being lurker for a few years.
I currently have a stock MY10 Passat R36 Sedan in Biscay Blue. I bought it in May 2011 as a dealer demo with 8000 km's on the clock, and at the time I was lead to believe it was one of the last R36's to come off the line. It is now up around 78000 km's.
I have since thought about and even advertised it for selling but after not getting what I was looking for, have decided to hang on to it for now. It gets serviced regularly and has only had one new set of tyres and sports a cool set of personalised plates. The tyres I am running are Yokohama Silent tyres.
I am now looking to make some minor software and possibly hardware mods to enhance the experience without changing the essence of the car. That is why I am here.
As for the car, there are a couple of the more advanced features which it does not possess. It has the RCD head unit and not the RNS so no inbuilt sat nav. It also does not have adaptive cruise, smart park, sun roof or reversing camera. I do have a couple of MDI cables (USB and Apple [1st gen]) but it essentially remains permanently connected to the 80GB iPod.
