Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Greetings from Cali, Amerikstan (joking)

Recently sold something to someone here (keeping it anonymous for now since he'll post about it) on e-bay. Long time member of vwvortex.com, just branching out because it's fun, and I saw some threads that I'm dying to chime into. I'm a long time vw enthusiast and I work at a Aircooed/Watercooled VW store. I specialize in G60's, 8v's, ABA's, and Cabriolets. I also like to build boosted stuff that burns rubber (and assplodes 020 transmissions).

Current project: 1991 Calypso Green b3 (i35) wagon
VWVortex.com - B3 Passat Project - New to me, but old to the family

Daily Driver: 1990 Corrado AAZ TD (converted in 2009) with too many miles on the body. Soon, there will be a vr6-t on MS2 rev 3.57 in there

Weekend Car: 1982 Jetta 4dr ABA-T on MS2 rev 3.57 tuned to 8psi on 91 octane + suspension and the works, full sleeper. Actually up for sale in about 2-3 weeks once the Passat is done.

Tire burner: 1977 CB750k punched out to 835 with stock cam, the haul ass vehicle.

The noped: 1982 NC50, in metallic blue. My little baby. Except when she decides to stop running on me

The strange beast: 1971 Trail 90 (CT90) suitcase cycle, one of VERY few built. has a Lifan 110 motor + custom carb, big knobby tires, etc. Just sits around in my backyard as an unfinished project though...

    Cheers
