VW Polo 2010 Tsi

Thanks for letting me sign up to the vwwatercooled forum!
I am a proud owner of a VW Polo 2010 TSI with the comfortline pack.
I've had no issues with the car up until 4 days ago, when two things happened:
1) the remote-less window control stopped working (i.e., holding the unlock button on my key does not force the windows to open)
2) the driver window control switch has stopped working (i.e., I can't put my window up or down, or any of the passengers windows.
The passengers can control their windows using their own switch. Also, everything else on the the drivers door is working fine - lock/unlock button, side mirror controls etc.
I have checked all the fuses, and they seem okay. What do you suggest I try next?
