I'm just doing the obligatory introduction. We bought a Yeti diesel about 6 months ago and are very happy with it. It's different from the old Forester and generally better. I've spent some time over that 6 months trying to find a way of fitting a towbar without having to submit to being ripped off by Skoda Australia. As Joel0407 points out in his excellent post you can buy the genuine VW control unit from the UK or Poland for about one third of the price here in Australia. However, there is some conflicting information about the wiring which I want to sort out with Joel.
