Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Pick up new Cabrio on Sat

Bought a new Cabrio' for my wife. She mandated a manual and I found what must be one of the oldest 'new' manual Cabrio's around. Imports stopped quite a while ago and this one was manufactured Jan 2012!. It's been sitting in the stock pile for nearly two years before going to a dealer. Nearly 30% off RRP made it a no brainer.
Already downloaded the manuals from erWin and ordered a VCDS.

Thought I'd show some enthusiasm before I go back to my [non VAG] 4WD forums, as I should be in the good books for nearly a week.

I didn't even know they had manuals in them.

30% off would make it around $30k?

At that age I'd be asking for an oil & brake fluid change before taking ownership (or at least a free one very early in the ownership experience)

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
