Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I have a 2005 Golf Comfort-line (Silver Auto) which is very unremarkable, although it's only done 41.000 kms and it is pretty well unblemished, inside and out and I don't think it even has one stone chip. A very protected life.

Our other car is a V6 CC, which I really like, but that's my wife's and therefore not always the car I drive. When I do, I really like the easy, smooth, quiet go of the CC and the comfort. It drives really well. (Autumn brown/black with walnut dash, Adaptive cruise, aircon seats & auto park for the novelty).

However while I'm past a mid-life crisis, I'm obviously into some other crisis now and I'm going to sell the golf and buy a GTI or a Gen 7 R or something I'll really like, just for me. I also want adaptive cruise as a must have option (I really depend on it in the CC to make sure I keep it under control when it's easy to slip into 'booking speed' with most modern cars) and the ability to have comfort dampening.

So if anyone's looking for a particularly good Comfort-line, in a few months time, you might be interested.

    Cheers
