Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • WA Hey all.

    So I pick up my white, 2008, Polo GTI tomorrow, completely standard........that won't last long.
    I have already ordered parts for a 3" stainless dump.
    I don't know if the standard intake is restrictive or not but I have ordered a Pipercross panel filter anyway.
    When I pick it up I will measure the space behind the grill and see what intercooler I can fit.
    After that I will get it tuned and that should do me until I get more funds.

    My previous ride was a JZX90, single turbo conversion with Emanage tuned to 220 atwkw.
    I made the manifold, dump, intake piping, fitted intercooler and piping with BOV, installed torsen lsd and coliovers.

    I try to do every modification myself, it's "usually" cheaper and if I screw it up there is only 1 person to blame.
