Forum only readable to users

The server is being hammered again by crawlers, we are seeing tens of thousands of "users" online. Rather than give up and take the whole thing offline, I've switched it over so users must be logged in to even read the forum. I've also removed the ads completely once you're logged in since they are now basically worthless and annoying.

It's not ideal, but it keeps things online for now until I work out a better approach.

    Hi folks, have been following the Golf R updates on this forum for about a year now but have just decided to join today, as I've just placed a pre-order deposit with a dealer.

    Can't believe it's happening (I know there's a long way to go) but after owning the R32 for a short period of time some years back I knew it was just a matter of time before I get back to the bright side.

    Look forward to mingling with all of you!
