Hi everyone,
I recently purchased my brothers 2003 Gti. He was in a motorbike accident and needed to buy a bigger automatic car.. it had done ~87000.. i got it pretty cheap..
I was driving down springvale road when a lady decided to pull out in front of me.. *crash* both front airbags deployed.. and insurance tell me its a repairable write off.. I have been given a salvage value of 2k for the car from insurance company.. I am wondering if anyone would want to buy it for parts.. as engine is still fine apparently.. of course it can be inspected and I can even send photos.
I really liked driving the car.. responsive and nice.. so i will probably be looking to buy another soon.
If anyone does part stripping on GTI's then you could probably do pretty well.. I can have it towed wherever you want (even thou it still drives fine.. just bumper and front drivers quart panel damaged.. and airbags gone.. (wow they arent cheap to replace via insurance!!!)
