Hello to all Watercooled members,
My name is Jake and I'm new to this forum, so I thought I'd tell you all a little about myself. I am 20 years old and I am studying full time to become a chiropractor. Cars are one of my personal hobbies.
My current ride is a black 2001 Volkswagen Bora, V6 4motion sport. The only other VW I have had personal experience with is the car I had before this one which was exactly the same car. My previous Bora was a write off due to an unfortunate accident involving a motorcyclist but has recently found a better home on the race track.
Since owning both these cars, I have done a lot of the work myself, which was frustrating at times, coming from a background of Holden Commodores. This work has included:
* Regular oil service
* Brake rotors, pads and fluid change
* Power steering pump and rack replacement (on previous car)
* Thermostat and housing gasket (on previous car)
* Strut and shock replacement
* Front end suspension refresh/Polyurethane bushings (Both cars)
* Interior and cosmetic improvements and replacements
This is just a few things that come to mind, so as I will ask for help on this forum, I will do my best to help out anybody who needs it. I understand these cars can be a bit tricky at the best of times.
