Hi, Newly registered Skoda Octavia RS owner here, just waiting for permission to post to the Skoda subforum. I'll post my query here as a VAG guru may be able to provide advice, as the aircon unit is likely shared amongst a few brands:
On hot days (> 30 degrees) I don't think Climatronic is particularly effective - a fair bit of noise in the vicinity of the pollen filter (under glovebox) but not a lot of air coming out. I took it in for a service yesterday and was advised the flapper motor had been incorrectly setup at the factory for EU rather than Asia Pacific. They've rectified this, so just waiting on a hot day to see if it makes a difference.
I've also noticed no change in air flow or noise when I toggle the aircon recirculation button between On, Off and Auto - shouldn't I notice a change, other than the green light on the button illuminating?
