Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NZ Alrighty from NZ

Alright guys(and girls?). Originally from Scotland, now living in NZ. Been into all things VW for a long time now, still think a Mk2 is quite a new car, haha. Cut my teeth on a 1986 Polo Breadvan, which I hated as all I wanted was a Mk1 Golf!!! Moved onto a beige Mk1 1.1 then onto a Diamond Silver Mk1 GTi......which I still have back home....Anyway I'm going off on a tangent as its abit late.....currently have Mk1 GTi tintop, 2 Mk1 Cab's, Mk2 Jetta and a 16V Corrado ( and some random parts cars).

    Cheers guys

Welcome, from a fellow Brit, also living in NZ (Christchurch). Quite a collection you've got there! I'm running a brand new Mk7 Golf 1.4TSI Highline, together with my trusty 3 year old Skoda Octavia Scout, which has been faultless since I purchased it new in late 2010. Definitely the best, most versatile, most reliable, most all round capable car I've owned in 30 years of motoring.
