Newbie here looking for upgrade info. I want to update my firmware but don't have the maps DVD which was suppose to come with the car.

Will I be able to upgrade without it?

No but you can download the firmware and the map from the Audio Forum

They are located in the first post in the applicable thread

Thanks for the info - I've had a look around and I don't think I've found the correct one. I don't suppose you can point me to the right thread/section can you please?

The map you want wont be there as it seems you are in England whereas this Forum is in Australia and has the Australian map on it.

The VW Car Audio and Electronics section Found by going to Forum in the header and scrolling down.

You should probably Google "VW European maps" or something similar.
