Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Duncan form Perth Mk5 R32

    Hi all

My name is Duncan, Im a 33 old electrician and live in perth.

I have just bought a black 3 door 2007 R32. Im really enjoying it. I previuosly owned amongst others a A4 B5 Quattro GP, MK2 golf 1.4, MK3 Golf VR6 and a Corrado VR6 which had always been my favourite until i got he R32. Im still getting used to DSG as i prefer manual but its growing on me.

Anyway hope to have a bit of friendly banter and pick up some good advice along the way.

Welcome. I myself recently acquired an R32 DSG. Still trying to keep speed below the limit, this thing just goes off the line, even in D mode.
