Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Just picked up this baby :2006 Volkswagen Golf V R32 MY07 Direct-Shift Gearbox 4-Motion

    Great car, only complain is the AC, doesn't really get cold. Will be reading up heaps here.

        Thanks, yes, pretty well looked after. I've been on the prowl for a while. My wife even said I've been on carsales for 2 years

        Has some issue with AC though, which the owner was upfront. I've started a thread and it looks like quite a few people have the same issue. Some say it's the refrigirant control valve but VW won't sell that and just recommends replacing the compressor and everything else. Not really keen to do that unless the compressor has really had it. I'll update if and when I get it sorted but hey I'm open to suggestions being a newbie and all
