Gday folks, my name is Dave and while im new to the wonderfull world of VW
cars have been in my blood for most of my 40 years, starting off like most of you with carb and pushrod powered(?) rust buckets in the 80s, then graduating to efi and dohc turbo japanese cars in the 90s and 00s, and now its time to treat myself to some real comfort and and modern motoring in the form of my shiney new( for me) MK5 gti.
Like all the cars before it, it wont be std for very long and a build thread and pics will follow very soon.
i look forward to sharing and gleaning information with you all
