Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Evening all,

I've just signed up to the forum given that this place seems to have a the largest number of active Rocco R owners on the web. Anyway here are a couple of photos of how the motor was sitting a couple of weeks ago (bar the interior), granted they were taken last year:

Since then, a few modifications have been implemented. Here’s how the car currently stands.

    Interior:
    - OEM Recaro's
    - S2T performance paddles
    - Cruise Control retrofit
    - OEM bluetooth retrofit

    Engine:
    - Full non-res Milltek with GT100 tips
    - Revo Stg 1

    Chassis:
    - VMR 710's (Hyper silver) with winter slippers (Michelin Alpin's)
    - KW DCC Coil-overs with TT top-mounts
    - Autotech rear ARB
    - Superpro AntiLiftKit
    - TT wishbones
    - AKS Tuning geometry set up

    Photos
    Overview:

    Interior:
    - OEM Bluetooth getting fitted:

    - OEM Recaro's:

In terms of future plans. I've got to replace the front grill (fhook off chip), get the VMR's refinished for summer (gunmetal or matt black, I haven't decided set), sort the KW's out once they've settled, possibly upgrade the fuel pump to either a Loba or APR unit (logs show some odd rail pressure fluctuations) and drive it.

I’ll get a few more photos once I’ve cleaned it.

I'm looking forward to following what you guys are doing Down Under.
