Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi all. A TDI geek from other side of the world

My name is Teodor, always called Theo.

I found your great forum simply trough google when searching Golf MK1 info/inspiration. I felt like follow some of the nice builds in here and then its good to be able to post to ask questions or maybe help some sometimes.

I have a burning intrest for TDI engines and for the cars them sit in. I have a 2002 Audi A3 TDI Quattro that I have been building and driven since 2006, for the moment that car is mainly a ICE-car, we have real winter up here and its great fun.
My secund audi is a 2008 Audi A4 TDI quattro (2,0 16V PD) that also got a totaly rebuild engine with around 300hp/550nm, its my daily driver and it works really good infact.
My third car is a little one that fits this forum a little better. A Golf MK1 GTI -83. It is my current project and Im rebuilding the front suspension everything from a MK4 (Audi S3/Golf R32) is there. Engine will be a 2,016V TDI PD and gearbox is going to be a 02M with diff. A few nice MK1 builds in here have really inspired me!

Please share more about this, i want to do a TDI conversion to mine eventually, probably from a polo, but theres not a huge dealof resources out there
      Mine: -MK5 Golf 2.0TDI[Deiselgeek sigma 6 shifter + H&R 50mm lowering springs + GTI Tartan interior + Audi 18x8 A6 wheels(Dark Steel)]
      -MK1 Golf The re-spray/re-build
In the family: -MK5 Jetta 2.0TDI, -9N3 Polo TDI, -6R Polo TDI, -Mitsubishi S^$&box van
A pattern seems to be forming...

        Hi there,

I'm a newbie as well; found this thread through google of course. Drive a 2009 Mk6 Golf 2.0TDI 103KW. Absolutely love this car and was glad i chose it over the 118TSI. Have a couple of experiences to share so I look forward to meet the rest of you golf TDI owners out there.

        Cheers!
