  • Hi, my14 tig owner

    Hey,

Brissy boy, drive a my14 132tsi, few more bits and pieces coming for it but just ran a 13.1 at 104mph full street trim, stock wheels and tyres. 12's coming up in no time.

    Cheers

        Thanks guys,

Unfortunately I'm on call out for work this weekend, but I'll start coming out to meets when time permits. I also need to lower it more, but need to change the muffler as it's already about 100mm off the ground haha modified car life. Sometimes I wonder why I'm cutting up a car with 1600kms on it

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your wheels.... and interested to find out how you came up with the idea of buying a Tiguan, bolting on a K04 and lowering it. Not something that many people immediately think of doing... maybe was inspired by a low flying stage 3 bullet in the APR shed???

There's some pics of some dumped/bagged Tigs floating around and they look pretty cool.

Interested on hearing your plans and where your end point is for your car (that is if there is one)

Pretty much wanted something different and to stand out. The look on people's faces as I go past is hilarious. I was inspired by the apr stage 3 tig and was originally planning gtx, but if I did it would have spiralled out of control with brakes, seats, built motor, better suspension, etc etc so I did the boring thing and went ko4.

I'm planning to test fit/install golf r cloth seats, make up a proper dump pipe, get a paddle stearing wheel, do some guard work and put some flares on, then hopefully the wheels I ordered will fit haha.

This a shot with the old savannah wheels, new wheels are a lot more aggressive but surprisingly still legal. Wish I could airbag it but trying to keep it as legal as possible. So I'll sort out the muffler and take it down another 15-20mm after I put the wheels on and see where I'm at.

Yes know the problem... once you start down the BT path you can't stop halfway.

Nice list there. If you haven't already done it, I'd recommend getting one of Guys DSG tunes before you put in the steering wheel with flappy paddles. I went about it the other way around and with stock transmission tune I was running in manual mode 90% of the time. Now I'd be lucky to use the paddles 10% and that's only when I'm looking to interact with the car a bit more (and not that I really need to). Plus you can increase launch RPMs

Nice set of wheels. Were these wheels OEM or aftermarket? Are you planning on putting these back on the car at some stage? They're a nice set of wheels.

They are the stock savannah wheels, from the r line over seas. I like them but the other wheels I've ordered will be a lot more concave. I'll probably sell them after that.

I have the dsg tune and it has made it a lot better, launches sound cool haha but I still want paddles. They aren't a priority though.

Who's this? Don't recognise your name sorry mate. Just left the gym actually haha feeling weak, getting back into it more.

135 I had was a freak, never took it to the strip but it beat my mates car that traps 125mph. This isn't as quick obviously but It feels quicker to 100kph. 135 just didn't hook up
