Welcome to VWWC Isaac. Good to see another '32 owner joining the forum as we have been seeing a lot of activity recently from this side. Got any photos of #70? Might want to PM ''Driven Threads'' on here to be placed on the MKIV R32 registry. Any MKIV R32 in Australia is respected by me.
Did you know the previous owner of your car has forgotten to remove the advertisement on carsales?
Bracing & Handling:
1. Height adjustable coilovers
2. Unibrace XB
3. Haldex Performance Controller
4. Sway bars F&R
5. A good set of tyres
6. Rear lower and upper control arms
7. Rear sway bar end linkages
Understand the limits of your suspension & handling and concentrate in enhancing those before power upgrades. Concentrating on ''oomph'' upgrades when your S&H is not up to scratch robs you of driver enjoyment.
Lastly the most expensive but with the biggest gains:
- Supercharger
- Single Turbo
- Twin Turbo
- Full engine work (pistons, porting, polishing to add to the cams and headers)
My 2 cents.Last edited by robbie; 25-11-2013, 09:50 PM.

g,day robbie yeah i am well aware that my car is still on carsales been almost 3 months now.
ive looked in to the unibrsce xb and id imagine it would give you a reasonable amount of rigidity but am a bit unsure on the price tag. i think $500 is a bit steep for something i could make make in a hour. what are your thoughts on coilover brands??? i used to run bc br series in my old car and loved them but dont think bc make for euro.

Isaac, I have some bad news for you unfortunately. Modifying the R32 is expensive and XB Unibrace at $500 is going to be a reasonably cheap option. KW V3 and Bilstein PSS9's are the most popular coilovers for the MKIV R32 and both are regarded very highly. I personally run KW V3's and they are awesome! Great on street and track
R32's are, like I said, a pay to play car. Have a look around at future mods you're thinking of doing and prioritise what you wanna do first etc. They are great little cars though and I'm sure you'll love the time you spend driving yours! No. 164 - HPA Competition Haldex Controller, KW V3's, Southbend Stage 2 Singlemass Flywheel, Simota Racing Air Intake

JedR32 is correct - you want to play, you have to pay!!
The mods I did on my R32 (MkV) were (in timing & priority order);- APR chipping (~5% power increase, but noticeably more willing) ~$650
- Bilstein B16 adjustable coilovers ~$1600
- Haldex sports ~$1600
- VWR Airfilter $125
- plus better brake pads, disks & Dot5 fluid
I think they were all worthwhile, I am not intending to do much more, except a DSG tune (Custom Code in Qld is ~$650) and Advan Neova AD08R tyres.
The suspension & chipping made a significant difference. I have not had a chance to test the Haldex much yet.
Work was done at European Autotech at MonaVale. I found it was noticeably cheaper to import the expensive stuff (coilovers, Haldex) myself, rather than order it through EA.
I like a stealthy car, so no intentions to put on a Milltek exhaust or air intake upgrade beyond the filter..
Costs are from memory, and include labour. Exchange rates used to be better earlier this year though...
Hope that helps!!Last edited by ToyRacer; 28-11-2013, 10:14 PM.
