Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello all

    Hey everyone,

I have recently just bought a new golf 2003 and im looking to learn a little about the car and hopefully attempt some of the minor services for the car myself!

I know this may seem really silly but im having a hard time finding out exactly which model my car is I was wondering if someone could help?

All I know is its a Golf VW 2003 Model 1.6L ... and something along the lines of SED (shape). I look at these forums and I see alot of MK1 MK5 etc.

I would love to find out exactly which model my car is .

Thanks in advance and nice to meet everyone!

Cool thanks haha, yeah I really do like the shape of the car

So if someone was to ask me the model of my car I would just say:

      Golf 2003 1.6 MK4?

Or if I were searching for specific parts off ebay? for example ..
