Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Welcome mate. What colour is it and do you mind me asking where you found it?
I have a Black Cupra and love it (when it isnt having problems)

The 16v is a wicked motor! And the Ibiza's are good fun to drive.

Camden GTI would be your best beat in NSW for servicing and spares.

It's a Red Cupra with all standard parts. First thing I need to fix is the A/C. Previous Owner advised it had stopped working a good 6 months ago. I don't know what it could be. Anyone know of any "honest" mechanics in Syd area?

The previous owner rarely drove the car and only serviced it once a year. It's done 117,000 kms on the clock. The steering wheel is also off centre. The car drive's straight however the steering wheel itself is on about 25 degrees to the right.

Interior has wear and tear. I was wanting to get some VR6 seats put in and get the whole interior fixed. If you guys know of any people that do a good job and don't charge through the roof that would be great.

I've got some pretty good cupra seats, no tears. One has very tiny hole but that's it really.

Was looking for VR6 seats. You have any other goodies?

Would the A/C compressor be ok in the car still?

Get a wheel alignment to fix the steering wheel.

Get new seats of Schalke04 and ring Camden GTi for a good service.

I'll have a full VR6 cloth interior coming up for sale soon if you're interested in going that way.

Going to take the car down to Camden GTI.

Was quoted $600 for A/C compressor replacement. Does that sound about right?

Anyone know where to get some decent shocks that won't cost a fortune? Think the suspension on the car can be improved. It's currently stock.

                        Cheers
