I have an 06 Caddy Life with the optional seat removed and a couple of roller drawer tool boxes squeezed into its place, with a space in the middle of these boxes to stow materials. As you have probably gathered, I use this van for a mobile service. I purchased it originally because I wanted a small economical van and the Caddy appealed to me the most.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

ASR
Not sure if I'm in the right section here but anyway, I am wondering if there is actually a drive wheel on my 06 Caddy. I have a long steep gravel driveway (200 mtrs) and if there is a drive wheel as such , I would like to keep it on the outside of the road as this helps with the outer corrugated bits being easier to scrape back into the middle to keep the road formed. My partner has a rear wheel drive with the drive wheel on the passenger side which makes it easy for her but I cant work out mine. If I spin the wheels on flat gravel, both wheels leave holes. If I turn off the ASR, they still both spin. Is this just the way it is and I am destined to be forever 'Shakin All Over' or does anybody have help, thoughts or ideas. Thanks.
