Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi all, my name's Anthony and I have a 1976 mk1 golf 2 door project, which am am finally beginning to work on after a long break. It's currently a rolling shell ready for rust and panel repairs. I've already stripped the engine bay back to bare metal and recoated in sound deadener but am not willing to tackle the rest of the body - I need help! Anyone that is willing to do rust/panel repairs would be greatly appreciated - or at least contact info of someone you would recommend would be much appreciated.
