    Hi Folks,
I've joined this forum to assist my daughter with her 2000 VW Golf Mk4, with 2L and auto. It's a nice, solid car - her first car she's paid for. It has 105,000 km on the odometer. So, about to ask some questions about where to get it serviced. The problem I see in the Shire, is that there are not many VW repairers left.
    Cheers,
    Rob

Flick out to Camden GTI at Campbelltown or CVWC (or whatever it's called) down in Kiama. There are a few other options but you'll have to pack your Shire passport & cross Tom Ugly's for them as well.

For that car I'd recomend inspection of the timing belt & an auto service as a priority

Welcome Rob, I'm only over in Illawong so you're not alone in the Shire haha.

As Brad said Camden GTI is your best bet as they're only a quick 40 odd minute drive on the M5 from Menai.

        Thanks guys!

I've already visited Camden GTI - to get a second hand mirror switch. I might have to work at MacDonalds for the day after dropping it off! lol

He has free loan cars. You just have to replace the fuel used.

It's not a huge trip out there - I do blakehurst to cambelltown daily. About 45minutes tops (I've done it in 35m without breaking any rules) unless there's a traffic issue.

Thanks Brad - I'll keep that in mind. I'll just have to brave the M5 parking lot! lol

You'r driving against the flow of traffic, so it's quite bearable.

Sadly that wasn't me. My car used to be black, but now it's kind of green haha.

Where did you happen see the black one, because I haven't seen any around the area?

                  Tim.
