Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I am new to this forum. Just got my MK7 90TSI, been driving it for the past 2 weeks, very happy so far.

However, since I could only afford the trendline model, there are few things I wish to upgrade/retrofit myself (later on) such as the reverse sensors and particularly the Bi-xenon headlights. I have done some research on the mk6, retrofitting the bi-xenon headlight seems to be quite complicated thought.... Anyone know if it would be the same for the mk7??

Hey mate, welcome to the forum
Golf 7 Bi-Xenons are more complex than Golf 6 but hopefully we should have the know how for it by early 2014.
They made it really hard on Golf 7 to retro anything. We are working on 8" Sat Nav at the moment though
