Hi everyone, I've been a VW owner on and off since 72. I'm on my 4th watercooled VW. I work on Mt Buller regularly, in the snow and Mt Hotham. (as a fridge mechanic) Hence I use a 4motion now, and had Syncros before my T5. I've also had my vans converted to campers converted by Shiralee in Melb' (who are no longer around) so I get double use. The T5s are not as much fun to drive in the snow as the electronics try to stop you sliding. I have modified some parts of my transporter based van, adding a Caravelle Sportline front and rear and colour coding to my van. I had a head on in my T4camper in 2009 and the car folded up and the motor went in under the car. The unregistered ute driven by the unlicensed driver on speed didn't fair very well at all.
