Hey Guys,

Based in Adelaide, driving a Series V Golf TDI.

No mods yet but thought I'd start looking around this forum for hints and tips.

Thinking of upgrading to a Tiguan soon, does anyone know if VW will release a GTI version here, or am I just making things up?

Nice to see another SA member.

Not sure about a GTI version of the Tiguan - 2.0 petrol Tig does use the same motor as the GTI. There is also an R-line model available overseas which is basically the same car with a body kit.

Only problem is that VWA doesn't bring this model in and to buy the kit and paint the bits is a very expensive way of doing it.

This is a great forum, it's packed with more info than I could hope to process.

I've been checking out the head units that DkN is organising, they look great! Might just have to upgrade.

Do you have a preferred VW mech here, one that could assist in installing the head unit?
