Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hey All!

    Hey guys,

New to being active in the forums, and can't believe how much awesome feedback and information there is on what we clearly all share dubluv..

I've decided I need a money pitt that could potentially turn profitable at the end. I'm a full time apprentice and have a pretty good understanding of how it all works and how to repair most mechanical parts.

I'm looking for a challenge but not something that is going to be impossible, my main worry is bodywork and fab, but im learning as much as i can atm.

I'm tossing up between a mk1 1.8 Carb, mk1gti, even a 16vEFI/vr6/20vt conv. Same goes for mk2 really i guess, set back is the 2-doors are so rare in australia >.<

Please hit me up with some opinions,
    sorry if i bored ya!
Working...
