Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Candy White R36

    Hi Guys,

After being a part of another VW Forum for the past few years, I thought it best I open up my story over here as well. My previous car was a 2012 Golf R, and now - a 2010 Passat R36!

Tracking down a Candy White one was my first stumbling block, not to mention one that was MY10 onwards AND with low klms, however I persisted in trawling the internet and sure enough, along she came.

Stay posted, and of course welcome any suggestions and or comments!

Welcome mate! Did you trade the R? How you do you find the R36 in comparison?

      Cheers mate.

I sold the R privately. Loved that car, as it was manual but the daily drive for me to work is about an hour each way and was driving me mad changing gear all the time. The R36 is an amazing car to drive, but very different to the R. Surprisingly getting better fuel economy out of the R36 too!
