Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW T5 Transporter in the Newcastle area...

    Hello VW Watercooled,

I purchased my first VW recently (T5 Transporter) and have joined this forum to access the vast amount of information available on all things watercooled. Initially I was looking for coding information after upgrading to an RNS-510 and now that is sorted (I have a Ross Tech cable and am happy to help out other forum members in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area, just send me a PM) I have many more modifications planned for the future.

    Regards,
    Michael.

Hope to see you around Newcastle!

From what I read it is possible on most cars to turn off the "bing-bing-bing", would be happy to have a look at it for you one day.

Hi Steve, I did the upgrade myself and it was insanely simple. Even without all of the information available here and elsewhere on the interwebs it would not have taken much to figure out. Only advice would be make sure you have access to VAG-COM because if you do need coding this is the only way you will get it to work.
