Hi all, it's been some time since I posted.
Haven't needed to after buying a new 2007 Golf Mk V 2.0 TDI 6 speed manual back in 2007.
It's been such a great car, 103ks now in the hands of my wife.
Only time it has needed attention was the replacement of the radio unit.
Today, I had the opportunity to purchase another similar car, a 2006 Golf Mk V 2.0 TDI DSG with only 69ks and a fully documented service history.
I grabbed it with both hands, this is for me to drive.
Whilst there has been all the bad press (some not unwarranted by all accounts) about the later DSG, I felt confident this new acquisition should perform as flawlessly as the first. We still have the first one, now we are two!
It's good to be back.
cheers,
richard
