Hello all,

I have been looking for a mechanic to service my EOS that will not cost me an arm and a leg. So far my last service was extremely unaffordable and that was with VW themselves. Can anyone refer a mechanic that can do a good job in the Brisbane area?

I might add that you shouldn't expect a huge cost saving from specialist independants.

What you will get is:

• Less chance of a stuff up / silly mistake.
• years of experience
• They don't charge for every little extra
• They do the work that needs doing based on past experience rather than blindly reading a maintenance schedule
• They'll know your vehicle history once you've been a few times
• If you call in with some minor emergency they'll see you ASAP rather than put you off for a week
• Really rubbishy loan cars that make you appreciate your own car. LOL

+1 for P&P I've been taking both our cars there for a few years. They are certainly a bit cheaper than the dealers. The real benefit over the dealer is being able to talk to the guy who is doing the work on your car and based on the staff car park they seem to like the VAG product.

Adam @ VA Garage on the Gold Coast is the ONLY person I let touch my car.

Used P&P once and received nothing but headaches in return, wouldn't go back to them if my life depended on it.

Another vote for Adam @ VA Garage on the Gold Coast.

I've referred 4 work colleagues to him and they have all been blown away by the service and professionalism. You can feel the passion for the cars when you go to their work shop.

Thumbs down from me after they put non approved oil in one of my new cars and swore it was OK . Might be Ok for older models but I wouldnt go near with a later model one.
