Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Newbie to VWWatercooled!

    Hi,
Just a quick post to introduce myself to this forum.
I recently got rid of my big thirsty v8, and picked up a Polo Gti 2009 instead. Couldn't be happier.

I'm located at the fraser coast for the time being, and look forward to catching up with any other vw fans around here!
    Thanks
    Loopa

    Welcome to the forums mate.
The 09 GTI is the 9n3 model isn't it?

    They are a great car.

          Thanks mate, I will do.
This is a huge site, I think I'm going to be spending a fair bit of time sifting through it all.
I've got a few little things lined up that I want to do to it already.

Hi, nothing done to it yet, but that will change soon enough. I've heard that a revo chip can make them good for 150kw or so?

Best bet is Custom Code or APR from what i have seen, local support helps too.

Yeah, all stage 1 chips are around 150kw, best bet is to choose someone local that will offer support. As team v said, apr or custom code are probably the best bet for the Brisbane area
