I am new on the vw scene but want to get into it as soon as possible.hopefully I can find a good condition mk1 that I can use as a project car one of these days!

Thanks mate!! WELL I FOUND ONE.....but it has heaps of work to be done and when I say heaps,that includes serious rust to both 'A' posts the only upside of this 'project' is that the previous owner fitted door handles from a Gen.3 golf so that they pull open..
So I will keep on searching/hunting a more favourable car to work on:
