  • New Skoda Super Owner- Recall/Shudder

Came for the read, registered for the recall.

Ours is a mid 2011 Silver Wagon ambition.

Lovely car, so happy we chose it. Though worried about the recall, and I think it has developed the gbox shudder. Though for us its more a stutter/slip when accelerating from a standstill. Is this the shudder issue?

    can anyone comment?

My Fabia is not subject to the recall, but I have found that driving a DSG means adjusting your driving style. Applying the throttle at take off means pressing the pedal confidently.

If I don't put the foot down smoothly, I sometimes get a mild hesitation. I only get a minor shudder if, when accelerating from 7th, you don't press the throttle past the kickdown, or when taking off from a moving start where the gearbox is still in fourth or fifth.

But both of these symptoms disappear with an adjustment in driving style.
If what you are experiencing is more than just a momentary blip, then I would definitely be calling SKODA's Helpline.
