  • VIC Another Newbie!

    Hello all,

A Few months back I bought a VW Golf MK4 1999, very nice condition and for a good price, considering she had 208,000 on the clock she was in very nice condition.

Since I bought her I have noticed the huge numbers of VW's on the roads! They are everywhere....

Having only driven an old golf years ago, I think it was an 85 maybe, had drum brakes I think, I was very impressed with the MK4, zippy and comfortable. I actually bought it for my girlfriend and have by default also become it's mechanic.....

So far no big issues, although she has developed a clunk and grind in the steering so I will be looking through the forum for decent sellers of CV shafts around melbourne.

I actually came across this site in the process of searching VW stuff in Melbourne.

    cheers, Gareth
