Greetings
As new member of the VW family, I thought I would share my thoughts on taking delivery of a new VW in the current climate. I ordered my T5 late last year and took delivery last Thursday. The process went from excitement to dread. The more I read this forum and the Age the more I felt sick. Comments like "anyone who would by a VW with the know faults deserves what they get" to "DSG drivers are lazy and cant drive, they're soft and deserve soft resale".
Well I thought about laying in the fetal position under my desk, sucking my thumb, rocking slowly back and forth. But decided that I had done my resarch and that the vehicle was the right one for me. There are no other 4WD LWB vehicles in my price range with the level of equipment I need to build my camper.
So after a week of sussing it out in the mud and hills and highway, Im very happy with my purchase.
Does anyone know how to read the label in the service book, I would like to check I have my upgraded suspension but dont have anything to compare it with. It stands higher than my old T4, but its loaded to the gills.
Thanks for the great forum, and Im looking forward to learning and stealing ideas frrom you all.
