Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello from Sydney

    Hi guys,

My name is Andrew and I'm from Sydney. I lurk from time to time to see whats for sale and what not.

I currently don't have a VW but I'm looking out for one now. My old man used to have two Beetles but only has one now and to be honest will never see the road (incomplete project) as he has too many cars and bikes (Hillman Imp and Mini).

I'm not interested in the new stuff but I'm looking for a Mk1 or Mk2 Golf and currently have my eye on one awesome one which I can't stop thinking about!

My current drives are a all J-Tin. They are a '12 Mitsubishi ASX (boring) but my pride and joy is my modded '95 Mazda MX-5 (please don't hate) and my '67 Toyota Corona Coupe.

Anyway, enough of that. I hope to be in a Golf soon to see what all the fuss is about

    Cheers

Andrew - you're lucky to have a father with such great taste. I too own an Imp and think they are simply a fantastic little car. Should put him in touch as I've not been in contact with many Imp owners in Sydney.

All the best getting in to a Golf!
