My name is Izzy, and I am new to this group and fairly new to VW. I am an engineer by training and enjoy tinkering with cars, sometimes go beyond my knowledge and talent. That's where forums like this help a lot.
I have a 2013 GTI daily driver and company car. I am struggling to install an RNS510 on it. The unit works perfectly but no sound comes out. Long story, getting a replacement for it next week.
I also have a 2008 GTI, that is more of a track toy with improved brakes, track tires and wheels, APR stage 1, and APR rear sway. I retrofitted that one with the MFD2 navi and works perfectly. I am new and racing VW or front wheel cars, but can tell you that this little car can hang with German ponies 2-4 times its cost. That is amazing.
