SA Looking to buy Tiguan soon

Hello everyone. Just a quick intro. I live in the Riverland SA. I'm the market for a 2011/12 Tiguan and thought I would join the forums for a bit of info on specs, upgrades etc. Looking forward to chatting and sharing info. Cheers

Hi and welcome. I was running around the Riverland last week in my Tig.

One thing I would be taking into consideration before purchasing is where you are going to get it serviced/repaired as it's a fair distance to the nearest vw dealer.

Maybe make sure your insurance covers you for towing in the event it ever has to be put on a truck.

The other thing is there is model change-over in 2011. This is mostly cosmetic upgrade, however this will likely effect your resale in 5 years.

Other than that its down to petrol/ diesel and auto/DSG/manual plus whatever options you consider mandatory.

There's a fair few options you can retrofit so if you find the right car you can often fit the options later - have a search around as likely someone has done it before.
