Hi All,
Just to introduce myself, I'm from Ireland where VW is considered 'the benchmark European car', not like here in Australia where it is considered a 'luxury option'.
I currently drive my girlfriends car which is a Toyota Rav 4 which is about 12 years old. I've had a loan of out friends Polo GTI and loved it but I'm looking for something a little more practical.
I test drove both the Golf 7 TSI and TDI 2.0 Highlines on their launch date at Austral Newstead. The "Drive Away" price for the TDI higline was approx $38.5K and around the $39k with the metallic option.
I quite enjoyed the torque of the Diesel model compared to the petrol but I would have loved if it also came with "flappy-pads" behind the steering wheel like the European models. Can these be optioned or retro fitted ?
Anyhow looking forward to making a purchase in the next month or two if I can get ti for the right price.
