Hi All,
After driving my 2010 TDI Passat for 3 years without an issue, a week ago my RNS510 went off it's nuts. It started freezing up, wouldn't start and became totally unresponsive.
My 1st thought, this is going to be expensive and what was I going to do. So I started googling and stumbled upon this site. I had no idea that there was such a large group of VW/Skoda supporters on the internet and it was this site, that got me upgrading my firmware, maps and even loading custom POI's and back and running.
Thanks so much for all the content that so many have posted here, which must provide an enormous amount of support to the community. I had what I needed and could have walked away, but I realise that behavior like that is not in the spirit of what these forums are for. So I am registering and hope to become an active participant on the forums. I am still amazed at how much there is to learn about my car and the community at large.
Thanks again to all those quiet individuals who post the information that the naive like I, can draw from.
