Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hello

    I'm Daniel, and yesterday afternoon (after umming and ahhing for 12 months) I picked up my MY13.5 (I think) Polo GTi 6R.

    Its 5 door, with the xenon lights in Flash Red.

    Keen to meet some of the other Polo owners in Canberra

    I just signed up to this forum today as well. How's the polo?
    leaning onto the 9N polo gti at the moment.

      I have drive my friend's polo GTI couple times. FWD will not be a problem, as it is well refined. Handling is good. Enough stock power.

            Loving it - I've done 300 and something kilometres since 5pm last night (when I got the car).

            Just getting used to it, finding that there's a burning clutch smell at the moment, I guess thats normal? I'll keep my eye on it. And the bluetooth voice thing stuck to the dash is ugly and annoying but its screwed into the dash and the bluetooth doesn't seem to work with out :\

              Almost 6,000km now.

              Tinted windows, change the valve covers on the tyres so they say GTi now (lame i know lol), ordered a VW Motorsport air filter, took the resonator out of the exhaust & just waiting for my euro number plates to show up then the real fun begins
