I am looking to buy a new V6 CC, but would prefer to buy one with a darker grey paint than is currently available (I find the Icelandic Grey too blue and the iron Grey too light).
I have been reading some threads on this forum and have noticed some Passat owners have been able to place special orders for vehicles in Tornado Red paint. I was speaking with a VW dealer today that denied it was possible to place orders with non-standard paint colours. When I mentioned that others had done so, she referred the matter to one of the logistics personnel who then stated that a request for special paint could be placed by the dealer with VWA, who could forward this to HQ, but that non-standard colours could not be guaranteed, nor requested prior to an order being placed.
Has anyone had experience with dealers in Vic that are familiar with placing these special orders and may be willing to do so to make a sale?
