Personally I would've thought between $31-$34k depending if it is a manual or DSG GTI.

I just sold my MY11.5 manual 5 door GTI for $32,500, it had 24,000 on the clock.

Check what's around on car sales. It should give you a good idea of what going market rate is.

I think low 30s is reasonable though.

IMO you should be able to get a fairly nice example with a few options with a budget of $35k.

If I were in the market for a MK6 GTI, I'd wait a few months. The MK7 is about to be released, and would be reasonable to expect that this will push the values of MK6 GTIs down a bit more.

That's why I sold mine now rather than later

Well all I can find are stock GTI DSG's for that price - everyone is asking around the $40k if you want leather, sat nav or sunroof.

Thanks for your help - I think i found the one... time to start planning my mods

you should be able to pick up a brand new car for that price, ask around some dealers there was just a big shipment
