Took the car for a check at Austral Newstead as it's been making alot of noise.
Been told that i'll need to get a gearbox replaced and possibly the clutch.

Had the oil in the gearbox replaced and it's been running fine since.

I wasn't going to spend what they quoted on a car this old.
It's an old car and i don't want to spend too much on it.

So i've been looking for VW specialists for a second opinion?
Maybe get a second hand gearbox install if need be?
